Give Me the Cities

Painting by Giovanni Boldini: Le Comte Robert de Montesquiou (1897)

I’m a city boy. In the big cities they’ve set it up so you can go to a park and be in miniature countryside, but in the countryside they don’t have any patches of big city, so I get very homesick.

    • thank you. When I was a photographer and studying photo, the city was my canvas, every aspect of it was amazing, the grittiness, the beauty and the mysteries that presented them selves each and every day. You always feel like you have commrads standing with you in a big city, even if you don’t speak to them. It’s a wonderful feeling — I live in a city now, but not the one city that holds my heart for ever and always that being NYC. The most mysterious of them all. I hope to make it back there one day soon.

    • I also think that I have finally linked my gravitar with my blog (im new to this)…let me know if that helps. Enjoy and thanks again.
